And the Oscar goes to...

Today is the Oscars. I’m kind of nervous because one Peruvian film is nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film category in this 82nd Academy Awards. "The Milk of Sorrow" (La Teta Asustada) already won some awards for best movie in the film festival of Berlin, Havana, Bogotá and Guadalajara, but the Oscar Award could be an exciting thing for my people in Peru.

The Milk of Sorrow was written and directed by Claudia Llosa and the main actress is Magaly Solier. Here below is the film poster with a little retouching.

Hoy día es los Oscars. Estoy un poco nerviosa porque una película peruana esta nominada como mejor película de lengua extranjera en esta edición 82 de los premios de la academia. “La Teta Asustada” (The Milk of Sorrow) ya ha ganado unos premios como mejor película en los festivales de Berlín, Habana, Bogota y Guadalajara, pero el premio Oscar seria lo mejor para mi gente en Perú.
La Teta Asustada fue escrita y dirigida por Claudia Llosa y la actriz principal es Magaly Solier. Aquí abajo esta el póster de la película con un pequeño retoque.

I agree with my master that Scorsese is going to win this year. Martin Scorsese has been making classics for the past three decades and I think that he deserves to be officially recognized.

“The Departed”, featuring Matt “Girasol” Damon, Mark “Verdi” Wahlberg and Jack “Buffy” Nicholson is going for the best picture, this film was directed by Scorsese.
Like I said before…there is only one choice for Best Director: Martin Scorsese.

Estoy de acuerdo con mi amo que Scorsese ganara este año. Martin Scorsese ha estado haciendo clásicos desde hace tres décadas y pienso que él merece ser oficialmente reconocido.
