Feliz Fiestas Patrias Peru!

Sigo en el kennel pero mi master pidio permiso para que yo usara la computadora hoy para saludar a mis amigos peruanos por fiestas patrias: Feliz 28 de julio!

I am still in the kennel but my master asked permission for me to use the computer today, so that I can salute my Peruvian friends on their independence day holiday: Happy 28th of July!

Confusing

My cultural identity is a bit confusing. Am I American? I know that I was born in Peru and moved to the US after a year living in Peru. Now I am 9 years old, and I have lived in Arlington, VA for most of my life.
The 4th of July is coming up and now I'm wearing a red, white and blue bandana. Does someone know what this means? Am I American? Anyways, I like it!
To my friends in Peru: I don't think that I'm a sell-out so don't give a hard time about my bandana. I am proud to identify myself with both cultures. I promise that I will wear something Peruvian for the 28th of July.
I’m pretty sure that my master will place some delicious burgers on the grill and probably a steak too. My mouth is watering right now thinking about those juicy burgers ... medium well please!
Mom is still in Peru, but sometimes I forget and I wait for her in the living room.

Mi identidad cultural esta un poco confusa. Soy una estadounidense? Yo se que nací en Perú y que me mude a los Estados Unidos después de un ano de vivir en Perú. Ahora tengo 9 anos y he vivido la mayor parte de mi vida en Arlington, VA.
El 4 de julio se acerca y ahora estoy vistiendo una bandana roja, blanca y azul. Alguien sabe que significa? Soy una estadounidense? En fin, me gusta!!!
A mis amigos en Perú: por favor no piensen que soy una vendida, así que no me fastidien sobre mi bandana. Yo estoy orgullosa de mi identidad con ambas culturas. Les prometo que vestiré algo peruano para el 28 de julio.
Estoy muy segura que mi master pondrá algunas deliciosas hamburguesas en la parrilla y hasta probablemente un steak también. Se me hace agua la boca de solo pensar en esas jugosas hamburguesas…termino medio por favor!
Mama aun sigue en Perú, pero algunas veces me olvido y la espero en la sala.
