Behind a tree in the snow / Detras de un arbol en la nieve

The past weekend it snowed a lot here. It snowed a little over 20 inches; something that is unusual. Here is a little video where I go in the snow.

El fin de semana pasado nevó mucho aquí. Nevó un poco mas de 20 pulgadas algo que no es usual. Aquí hay un pequeño video donde salgo en la nieve.

Favorite new place

Remember when I told you that one of my favorite places in DC was the Awakening, my giant friend? Well since it is gone I was looking for new places and finally just went to the Iwo Jima Memorial. All these years I always passed close by but never went. I finally did last Sunday and yesterday.It is such a great place to run and play fetch, and also to meet some new doggies too.

Recuerdan cuando les conté que uno de mis lugares favoritos en DC fue Awakening, mi amigo el gigante? Bueno, desde que se fue el gigante yo estaba buscando nuevos lugares y, finalmente fui al Iwo Jima Memorial. Todos estos años siempre he pasado cerca, pero nunca fui. Finalmente lo hice el pasado domingo y ayer. Es un gran lugar para correr y jugar fetch, y también para conocer algunos perritos también.

My giant friend

Did I tell you that I meet a giant last year?...anyway, Last week I was happily sniffing/reading the newspaper, and for my surprise I saw sad news…my friend is gone!
His name is “The Awakening” and he lived almost 30 years at Hains Point in Washington DC.
I read that he moved to Prince George County in Maryland…I will miss that giant dude!

Les conté que conocí a un gigante el año pasado?...en fin…La semana pasada estuve feliz oliendo/leyendo el periódico y para mi sorpresa vi una mala noticia…mi amigo ya no esta!
Su nombre es “El Despertar” y el vivió casi 30 años en Hains Point in Washington DC.
Leí que se mudo al condado de Prince George en Maryland…Extrañare a ese gigante!

All about me

It would be a lie if I said nothing new is coming but spring is here, which means I’m going to see the cherry blossoms soon. The cherry blossom is the Japanese national flower (am I right Dixie?). Here in Washington DC we have some cherry blossom trees and walking around them makes me happy. I think that they are ready to bloom from April 1-7, so next week I’ll be there.
Also when spring comes that means that I’m ready for my birthday! In about an hour I will be 9 years old! This year it will be on a Saturday, and that means my master will be with me all day, and I will finally get to play with the toys that they have been hiding from me. I can smell them, but they won’t give them to me, even when I cry—but today is my day! I’m ready to party!

Seria una mentira si les digo que no hay nada nuevo pero la primavera esta aquí lo cual quiere decir que iré a ver a los cherry blossom muy pronto. Los cherry blosom es la flor nacional de Japón (estoy en lo cierto Dixie?). Aquí en Washington DC tenemos algunas arboles de cerezo y caminar entre ellos me pone contenta. Creo que estarán listos para florear entre el 1 y 7 de abril, la próxima semana estará ahí.
Con la primavera viene mi cumpleaños y estoy lista para ello! En una hora cumpliré 9 anos! Este año será sábado, lo cual significa que mi master estar con migo todo el día y podré jugar con los juguetes que ellos han escondido. Yo los puedo oler pero ellos no me lo quieren dar, incluso hasta cuando me pongo a llorar—pero hoy día es mi día! Estoy lista para festejar.
