All about me

It would be a lie if I said nothing new is coming but spring is here, which means I’m going to see the cherry blossoms soon. The cherry blossom is the Japanese national flower (am I right Dixie?). Here in Washington DC we have some cherry blossom trees and walking around them makes me happy. I think that they are ready to bloom from April 1-7, so next week I’ll be there.
Also when spring comes that means that I’m ready for my birthday! In about an hour I will be 9 years old! This year it will be on a Saturday, and that means my master will be with me all day, and I will finally get to play with the toys that they have been hiding from me. I can smell them, but they won’t give them to me, even when I cry—but today is my day! I’m ready to party!

Seria una mentira si les digo que no hay nada nuevo pero la primavera esta aquí lo cual quiere decir que iré a ver a los cherry blossom muy pronto. Los cherry blosom es la flor nacional de Japón (estoy en lo cierto Dixie?). Aquí en Washington DC tenemos algunas arboles de cerezo y caminar entre ellos me pone contenta. Creo que estarán listos para florear entre el 1 y 7 de abril, la próxima semana estará ahí.
Con la primavera viene mi cumpleaños y estoy lista para ello! En una hora cumpliré 9 anos! Este año será sábado, lo cual significa que mi master estar con migo todo el día y podré jugar con los juguetes que ellos han escondido. Yo los puedo oler pero ellos no me lo quieren dar, incluso hasta cuando me pongo a llorar—pero hoy día es mi día! Estoy lista para festejar.

Noise

Every morning the noise from the construction of a building just outside where I live bothers me more and more. I approach the balcony to take a look and all I can see is the building in construction. I hear the beeps from the trucks and it annoys me so much.
I tell my masters that the noise makes me angry, but they don’t care because they leave to go to work every morning. Sometimes, especially on weekends, I approach the balcony door and bark and bark, just to let them know that a new building is being built. I just do that so they can see that I work too, and so that I can get a piece of bread from their breakfast. I'm pretty smart doing that.

Cada mañana el ruido de la construcción de un edificio afuera de donde yo vivo me molesta cada vez más y más.
Me acerco al balcón y echo una mirada y todo lo que puedo ver es el edificio en construcción. Escucho los beeps de los camiones y eso me fastidia mucho.
Yo le digo a mis amos que el ruido me enfada, pero a ellos no les importa mucho porque ellos se van al trabajo todos mas mañanas. Algunas veces, especialmente los fines de semana, me acerco al balcón y ladro, solo para hacerles saber que hay un nuevo edificio que están construyendo. Eso lo hago para que vean que yo también trabajo; por avisarles ellos me dan un pedazo de pan de su desayuno. Soy muy astuta al hacer eso.

Flashback

This was me at 2 months old and this was in Trujillo, Perú in 1998.
I'm telling you this because in two weeks (March 24th) I will be celebrating my 9th birthday.
I hope you guys remember my birthday.

Esta soy yo cuando tenia 2 meses, esta foto es en Trujillo, Peru en 1998.
Les digo esto por que en 2 semanas (24 de marzo) estaré celebrando mi noveno cumpleaños.
Espero que se acuerden.

Spring is coming… I saw a squirrel

Today is a beautiful day; earlier we went on a walk around the boulevard. My master and I went to pick up my mommy master; she was at the gym. We were crossing the street, and I really don’t know what happened, maybe it was the effects of the upcoming eclipse, but I stopped in the middle of the road, and I started pooping. My master tried to run so we could cross the road, and he started yelling at me. He said that I was being a bad girl. I was so embarrassed. I felt my tail slowly stop wagging and go between my legs.

But it was still a nice day to take a walk! On the way home, I saw a squirrel, and I tried to chase it. But it went up the tree, and I started barking and jumping. I have seen this squirrel before. And you know what? Next time, I will get that damn squirrel. If somebody knows some good ways to capture squirrels, please let me know. I will really appreciate it. Now, I’m a dog on a mission.

El día esta muy bonito, hace un rato salí a caminar por el boulevard. Mi master y yo fuimos a recoger Mami master, ella estaba en el gimnasio. Nosotros estuvimos cruzando la calle, y en realidad no se que me paso, quizás eran los efectos del eclipse que pasara mas tarde, pero me pare en medio de la pista y me senté hacer popo. Mi master trato de correr para poder cruzar la calle, y luego empezó a gritarme. El dijo que soy una malcriada. Me avergoncé mucho. Sentí que mi cola se detenía lentamente e iba a meterse entre mis piernas.

Pero de todas maneras fue un gran día para caminar! En el camino a casa vi a una ardilla y la trate de perseguirla, pero la ardilla subió a un árbol, empecé a ladrarle y a saltar. Yo la he visto a esa ardilla antes, y saben que? La próxima vez la atrapare a esa maldita ardilla. Si alguien de ustedes sabe algunas maneras para capturarla, por favor díganme. Lo apreciaría mucho. Ahora soy una perrita con una misión.
